NEO has no account system. It never asks for your name, email, location, contacts, photos or any similar personal information.

Local data

Your progress, settings, unlocked endings, hint balance and Signal Archive records are stored locally on your device. None of it is sent to a developer server.

In-app purchases

The app is free. Optional hint packs (1 / 3 / 5) can be bought from the Signal Archive through Apple's App Store. Payment details are never seen or stored by the developer.

Advertising

NEO shows two kinds of ads. A rewarded ad starts only when you ask for a hint in a scene, with your own tap. An interstitial ad opens automatically over the death screen when your character dies; it can be dismissed. Both are served by Google AdMob, which may process standard advertising data such as device identifiers and approximate location under its own privacy policy. There are no banner ads, and no part of the story is locked behind watching an ad.

Tracking

On iOS 14 and later the app shows the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, advertising services are limited. No separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK is used.

Withdrawing your consent

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom the app shows Google's advertising consent form on first launch. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time: tap the PRIVACY button in the app menu and the same form opens again. This button only appears in regions where consent is required. On iOS you can also turn tracking off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Data controller

The data controller for the app is the independent developer who publishes it, Mehmet Ali Dengiş. For any request about your personal data: mealidengis@gmail.com. As the developer we collect no personal data from you; we only receive anonymous, aggregated advertising and sales reports.

How data is collected and legal basis

Advertising data is collected automatically, by electronic means, directly by Google through the Google Mobile Ads software (SDK) built into the app, at the time an ad is shown. Personalised advertising relies solely on your consent (the iOS tracking prompt and the ad consent form). The limited technical data processed for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention relies on the legitimate interest of offering the app for free. Purchases rely on the performance of a contract and are handled entirely by Apple.

International data transfers

Advertising data is sent directly to Google (Google LLC, USA) and purchase information to Apple (Apple Inc., USA), and is processed on these companies' servers abroad; we do not transfer this data ourselves. Users in Türkiye (Article 9 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law, KVKK): the transfer made for personalised advertising relies on your explicit consent. Before consenting, you should know the risk: personal data may not be protected in the USA to the same level as in Türkiye, and foreign public authorities may be able to access it. If you do not consent, ads are not personalised; only the limited technical data needed to show an ad is processed, under the data protection commitments Google and Apple provide. Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR): Google and Apple participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision and on standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep no records about you. The game save on your device stays there until you delete the app. Retention periods for data processed by Google are set out in Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Children's privacy

The app is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child's data has been processed, please write to us.

Your rights

Under the KVKK and the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and data portability. Since we hold no record about you, there is nothing for us to delete; you can direct requests about data processed by Google through Google's privacy tools, and withdraw your consent at any time as described above. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or, in the European Economic Area, with the data protection authority of your country.
